I have not blog since Keith is born... i stumble across my own blog while googling yesterday...had fun reading all the post i've written...
I guess it's time to continue writing...
Today i'm going to write about the cost of starting kindergarten in Penang...
Keith is 4Y now, he attended school this year but due to some circumstances he's going to new school next year so everything starts anew with one big lump sum...
I'm quite picky in choosing kindergarten, hygiene comes first and next is the teachers...of course now with Kyle and Keith together budget is of course one of my priority...
I have moved both Kyle and Keith to new school.. Kyle for educare and Keith for the kindy... It's pretty far off my place about 20mins drive but thank god they do provide transport with their own personal van...and it's not expensive comparing with 3rd party bus sekolah...
Let's start with kindergarten...
Full day 4Y
Registration - RM50
Supplementary Fees - RM350 (half yearly)
Insurance - RM30
Uniform - RM35x2 set = RM70
Monthly Fees - RM400
Transport - RM40x2 = RM80 (to and fro)
Total = RM980
This is the amount needed one shot when I decided to enrol him to the school... This is by far cheapest school fees I've came across...
I have considered Kyle's previous kindy which is also 20mins drive but no transport provided so i need to fetch him myself and it's at least rm200 extras on the monthly fees and also supplementary fees.. of course i know the school did provide a lot of activities for them but at my current budget it didn't allow me the luxury to send him there...
Half day educare
Registration - RM15
Supplementary - RM90 (half yearly)
Monthly fees - RM320
Transport RM40x2 = RM80 (to and fro)
Total = RM505
This is the amount needed one shot to enrol for educare.... I have decided to put Kyle to educare is because I'm a banana i can't teach him in chinese and im such a bad teacher... and Kyle loves to go to school because at school he got friends...it's better than him sitting around at home whole day stuck on his ipad...
Sending to educare is as expensive as sending to tuition centre or home tuition... per subject now is about rm100 45mins once per week... while educare will help in their homework and tuition on all subject...
Overall in Butterworth area, kindy price ranging from RM400-RM650 (exclude international kindy) monthly fees while educare is RM300-RM500....
I won't provide picture of their school for privacy and security reason hehe...
